This ground floor spacious two bedroomed apartment, comfortably sleeping up to six, is situated in an attractive, low rise, gated complex in the Torreblanca area of Torrevieja, only 5 minutes drive from La Mata town and 8 minutes drive from Torrevieja town centre. The apartment benefits from being in a quiet and relaxing area, yet within easy reach of all amenities. Having been decorated and furnished in subtle colours, there is a feeling of airiness and space throughout the apartment .The lounge/diner has a double sofa bed and a table with four chairs. At the other end of the lounge there is a fully equipped American kitchen with full oven, hob , washing machine and microwave. From the kitchen there is a back door to a small utility area, providing further storage space. The bathroom is fully tiled from ceiling to floor in neutral shades and has a bath, shower, wc and bidet. There is a double bed in one bedroom and two singles in the other, both have wardrobes and cabinets with ample storage space. As well as ceiling fans in all rooms there is Air Conditioning which operates either cold or hot air, for your added comfort. There is also UK SAT TV installed for your enjoyment. Please note that smoking is not permitted inside the apartment and pets are not allowed. There is a lovely communal swimming pool, with separate children’s area and is open 1000 – 1000 , all year round, only closing for essential maintenance. It is surrounded by well kept green areas with pretty flowers and palm trees, and has showers and seating for guest’s comfort, making it an ideal spot to sunbathe, relax and watch the world go by. The fully furnished and fully tiled large patio faces the outside, but the trees still give it privacy. It’s attractive lay out and spaciousness, along with the garden furniture and sun loungers make the patio the ideal spot for outdoor living and dining, whilst enjoying the sunshine or warm evenings. You can get a glimpse of the sea from here. Within around a 15 minute walk is the blue flag beach sandy beach of Torrelamata. Please be aware that it is a walk down hill but an uphill walk on the return. Alternatively you can visit the stunning beach by the quaint town of La Mata or chose from the safe, sandy beaches of Playa de los Locos or Playa de la Cura on the outskirts of Torrevieja town. Both towns can be reached by catching a bus (around a 5/10 minute journey) from the commercial centre at Lomas which is around a five walk away. Bus A goes to La Mata town and Bus C goes to Torrevieja town along the coast route. There is also a second bus A which stops in Ronda Jose Samper Garcia for La Mata one side and Torrevieja the other side. It doesn’t go to Lomas commercial centre or the beaches of Torrevieja but takes an express journey to and from La Mata and Torrevieja town centre. At Lomas you can also find several bars, restaurants, local shops and a children’s play area. However, within only a five minute walk behind the apartment complex in Calle Perseo there is a supermarket which has a wide range of goods. You will also find a gift shop called Bazaar here which is an Aladdins Cave type shop with some very reasonable (and sometimes surprising) finds. The British ‘Hispaniola Ship’ and Spanish ‘Bar Bahia Blanca’ behind the complex in Calle Perseo are also very popular bar / restaurants and offer some live entertainment and excellent value for money. There is also an internet café that offers information and assistance with just about everything. Should you want even more choice of bars, restaurants, shops, dentist and a travel agency that books day trips, the new Torrelamarina commercial centre is only a 5 minute walk away and offers something for everyone. The very reasonable, and so popular with the locals, Mercadona supermarket is also here and one of our favourite restaurants is the Chinese Mandarin as 3 course menu of the day with sangria, wine or soft drink and liqueurs starts at 5.30e each!! For further choice follow the hill downwards from the apartment and you will find the Hypermarket ‘Supervalu’ which is as it’s name says! Next door in ‘The Celtic Manor’ there is a bar / restaurant with a pretty outside terrace where they host live entertainment most nights of the week. Across the road from Supervalu there is bike hire for the fit amongst you to enjoy the area and it’s beautiful conservation areas. Another popular sports bar is ‘Rumours ’ five minutes down the hill taking the left fork . In the area are several championship golf courses as well as a variety of activities for all ages such as go carting, cycling and boat trips from Torrevieja harbour. There is a British cinema and bowling alley in the Ozone complex on the outskirts of Torrevieja town and for water lovers there is the ‘Aquapolis’ waterpark open from June to September. You can take bus C to both of these and then it’s a short walk or by the car the total journey will take around 10 minutes. Please note that the area surrounding the complex is rather hilly in places and the apartment not adapted for wheelchairs. Therefore we feel it is not suitable for wheelchair users, the elderly or infirm.
